Upcoming Feature & UI Change: Personalized Reordering Experience Based on Order History
We’re excited to announce an upcoming enhancement that will improve the reordering experience for guests using Bite kiosks.
For guests who logged into their loyalty account
After logging into their loyalty account, guests will now be able to view their previous orders under the “My Previous Orders” tab—provided we can fetch their order history using the phone number linked to their loyalty profile (either from prior kiosk logins or their loyalty account data).
Guests can quickly reorder in two ways:
Tap “Order Again” on individual items to quickly repurchase a specific item.
Tap “Re-order X items” to add the entire order to their cart at once.
Note: This functionality requires that menu items retain consistent POS IDs.
For guests who are not logged into their loyalty account
We’re also expanding this functionality to support guests who are not logged into a loyalty account. If a guest provides a unique identifier (such as a phone number or email address) at the beginning of the ordering flow and we are able to retrieve their order history, their previous orders will be displayed on the menu. Additionally, a dedicated Previous Orders menu section can be configured via the Bite Admin Portal.
Guests can view more of their history by selecting “See More of My Orders” at the bottom of the Previous Orders section.
Previously ordered items will retain customizations
When a guest adds an item from the order history, their most recent modifier selections (customizations) will automatically be applied. If they select a previously ordered item elsewhere on the menu, they will see an “Order Again” button directly on that item, making it easy to re-order with past customizations.
These enhancements will be available exclusively on UI/UX v2 ("Vitrine") and will be gradually rolled out to all locations over the next month.
