Cash payment for Revel integration

Customers can now allow their guests to pay with cash at the cashier when ordering on Bite kiosks/contactless solution with a Revel integration.

Customers must have the "auto-close paid orders" setting enabled in Revel as below. When guests opt for cash payment, Bite will send the order to Revel as an "unclosed" order. Customers can then bring the receipt with the 5-digit order number to the cashier and pay with cash, and once the cashier looks up the order and fulfills payment on the POS, the order will close.

Please note that the orders will still send to the kitchen and the KDS at the time of submitting the order on the kiosk, before payment is made at the cashier, as Revel automatically sends all online orders to the kitchen upon being received by the POS station. Revel clients are encouraged file a feature request for an improvement or a possible solution for this issue HERE.

Customers can also leverage Revel's suggested solution of using KDS stations to display whether the order was paid which can help determine whether an order can be prepared. The "Paid" flag can be added under KDS settings by including "Is Paid" option:
